Vicki Overly

I have been in the tax preparation business for 20 years,
performing a wide variety of tasks involved with that career.
I began as a receptionist with a widely recognized tax
preparation firm and continued that line of work by taking the
tax course, and discovered that I really enjoyed getting to
know my clients and finding the most tax deductions I could
for them.  Some people call me cheap, I prefer to just think of
myself as understanding the value of a dollar and what a little
(or a lot) can mean to a family when it comes to making ends
meet.  I continued my career by teaching a wide variety of tax courses for the next nine years.  I quickly learned that you absorb more knowledge by teaching than by attending tax courses, and really enjoyed the challenge.  I became an Enrolled Agent for the Internal Revenue Service in 2003, and also studied and passed my series 6 and 63 licenses making steps toward learning the other side of tax preparation, Financial Advisor.  I spent eight years being a Public Relations Coordinator, which was the most challenging and rewarding part of my career.  Now as owner of Add-It-Up I am learning, daily, a whole new set of exciting challenges, and hope the learning continues for years to come.

On the personal side I spent eight years coaching boys soccer for CBYSA, and five years volunteering as a Under Ten League Rep.  I became a referee in 2002, although I have not had much time for that since starting the company.  I also volunteer as the treasurer of the Union Pacific Employees Club, and Treasurer for the City of Crescent and the Fuller Center for Housing of Pottawattamie County and spend some time volunteering at the Union Pacific Railroad Museum.  I have two children (Chelsea) who graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School and (Matt) who is a Junior there this year.  I also enjoy playing pool, camping and motorcycle riding when the weather permits, and it is not tax season.  Football is my favorite sport to watch; my team is the Pittsburgh Steelers and Add-It-Up enjoys sponsoring the Iowa Blackhawks.  As of this year, I am looking forward to my newest and most challenging role, I became a Grandma on Mother's Day to Tyson James.

Lisa Schnackel

Hello.  My name is Lisa Schnackel.  This is my first year with Add-It-Up Tax, and I am really looking forward to working with new clients and the staff at Add-It-Up.  For the past ten years, I was with Dickinsen & Clark as a seasonal tax preparer.  Prior to that, I worked at H&R Block.  Due to my day time job as a controller with a hotel management company, I will only be available at Add-It-Up a few evenings, Saturdays and some Sundays.  As for my family, my husband, Dick, and I celebrated our 25th Anniversary this past summer.  We have a son, Carl, who attends Kirn Jr. High, and a daughter, Caye, who attends Gunn Elementary.  We participate in our kids activities, including Boy Scouts, 4-H and Soccer.

Grant Coover

Happy Tax Season's Greetings!! My name is Grant Coover and I have been preparing taxes with Add-It-Up for three years now.  Each year I continue to improve my skills as a tax preparer by taking classes or learning new types of tax returns to complete.  I enjoy meeting new clients and helping them with their taxes.  I walk clients through their return, answering any questions they have to help them understand their taxes.  I look forward to my returning clients and all my new clients that I will meet this coming tax season.  On a personal note:  I live in Council Bluffs with my wonderful wife Erin of 6 years and 2 children, Joshua and Emelia.  We enjoy getting outdoors when we can and doing various activities as a family.  When I have time for myself, I enjoy messing around on the computer, billiards and going to the CWS when it is in town.  During the day I work as a Payroll Coordinator for a large advertising and marketing company in Omaha.

Wally Osborn

My name is Wally Osborn.  I have worked for 38 years in sales,
primarily in the aftermarket automotive field with just four companies.
I worked 18 years with an automotive wholesale distributor in Iowa as
outside sales, Store Manager, Marketing Manger, New Business Manager
and on their Board of Directors.  I spent six years with an automotive
chemical company based in Chicago.  I covered Minnesota, North and
South Dakota, Montana and Wyoming.  I worked four years with an
automotive distributor in Tennessee as Market Development Manager
and Store Operation Manager.  I spent 16 years with an automotive OE (original equipment) manufacturer and aftermarket products manufacturer as a District Sales Manager with responsibilities in as many as seven different states with various duties.  I am married to Kathie, known to many as Kat, have five children, ten grandchildren and one great grandson.  We currently have two dogs we call "our boys" -- a Chihuahua and a Pomeranian.  I love model railroading, golf (it doesn't like me) and wood working, although a novice.  I am a true automotive "nut" and love the cars of the 40's and 50's.
My name is Shelly Wood and I have been with Add-It-Up for two years and it  has been a real joy.  After being a receptionist at another firm, I realized that  taxes would be a great career to have, so off to classes I went.  Now I'm taking care of clients and making sure they get their refunds ADDED Up.  I have  known Vicki for about eight years and she got me started in this career.  I love  to work with the public.  Meeting new and seeing old clients and helping them   to get the biggest return ever is the best joy of coming to work, plus having fun along with seeing their smiling faces means the world to me.  I am happily married for 10 years and have two wonderful kids.  One is in Sign Language  Interpretation at Iowa Western Community College and the other one is in  ROTC as a Senior at Abraham Lincoln HS.  I also have three cats and two dogs.  Some of my hobbies include going over the road with  my husband, watching movies with my family and friends, having card  night on Fridays and having fun nights with my daughter and her friends.
Chelsea Overly

As most of you know, I am Vicki's daughter and I have grown up watching
my mom do taxes.  Thankfully, that means she will do mine for the rest of
her life since I don't know how (ha, ha).  But I have worked for her as a
receptionist since she started Add-It-Up in 2004 and I really enjoy it.  It
seems that the employees here are constantly meeting new and friendly
faces and I couldn't ask for a better boss.  About me personally, I graduated
from Thomas Jefferson HS in May of 2008 and I am now working towards a
degree in Pediatric Nursing at Iowa Western Community College and will
transfer in two years to the University of Nebraska at Omaha and
University of Nebraska Medical Center.  I hope to have an established career
in Nursing by 2012 and continue working for my mom during tax season.  In the meantime, I am also expecting a baby boy on May 10, 2009 and my mom and dad are both excited about becoming grandparents, along with my brother Matt, who is determined to be the "best uncle ever".  I'm just really looking forward to getting my new life started and hoping that this tax season goes smoothly.
My name is Chasity Frederick.  This only being my first year at Add-It-Up, I have already found that it's a very fun and full-of-smiles business.  I am a  receptionist and enjoy it very much.  I like to help out in any way I can,                   whether it's doing something to help out a tax preparer or something around       the office.  I like to stay busy.  I met Vicki through my dad as they have been          friends for many, many years.  She's a great out-going person with a very big      heart.  I am the youngest in a family of five.  At times I thought it was the best      thing, but at other times, I thought it was the worst thing.  My family means
